What makes Prestwick Chase at Saratoga unique?

Prestwick Chase Dining

Prestwick Chase has a few features which set us apart from the competition. We are the only community where you are greeted by a friendly face who will welcome and direct you around the property at our gated front entrance. We also pride ourselves on being the only community with a bar/ lounge and a culinary team that prepares food to order. We do not have a food service company overseeing the kitchen. This allows the culinary team to use local farms for in-season fruits and veggies. This allows each two-week menu to be exciting with new dishes.

What is your favorite part about working/managing Prestwick Chase at Saratoga?

There are two favorites about working at Prestwick Chase. The first is, the Residents! They make each day a joy to come to work. Their friendly, caring way is noticed immediately by guests and new residents. The second is the numerous amenities and activities offered. Not only do we participate in local activities but once a year as a community we plan a destination vacation such as a Viking river cruise,  a private Land tour of Ireland just to mention a few, and hopefully in 2021 a Canadian Train tour.

What amenities do Prestwick Chase at Saratoga residents love most?

Prestwick Chase Golf

During these trying times, some of the favorite amenities include our putting green, where we have a friendly competition each season culminating in a golf banquet to recognize the winners. The library has been a favorite place over the last 6 months to find new books and read the daily paper. Our card/billiard room has also seen an increase in activity with us being stuck inside. Usually, the more popular activities are bus trips to SPAC, restaurants, and museums. We are happy now to be able to have family and friends visit outside the resident’s porches. Residents are also currently permitted to go out with family and friends which has made us all happier.

What measures has Prestwick Chase at Saratoga taken to ensure the safety of your staff and residents on a day to day basis?

Life at Prestwick Chase has changed dramatically since the quarantine began, our active community with many activities and outings has slowed to a trickle. We miss seeing all the friends and families in the hallways. The resident council in conjunction with management has determined that limited access to our building and no outside guests was the best practice.

To ensure the residents have everything they need Prestwick Chase Employees did all their grocery shopping & prescription pickups for the first 4 months of the pandemic. We have now gone to Instacart and individual store drop-offs as well as family member deliveries.

The Prestwick Chase maintenance team built a sanitization room with ultraviolet lights and an ozone machine. All groceries, deliveries, and packages go into this room before we deliver items to the residents.

These actions have helped protect and keep the residents and staff safe. We look forward to the day when we can open up to family and friends once again.
